Lisa heads to Portland this weekend to lend her support to Pacific University’s star studded fundraiser to benefit the school’s athletic department. This is Lisa’s third appearance at the event. In attendance will be KISS founding member, Gene Simmons, Chili Davis, Chicago drummer, Danny Seraphine, Eric Dickerson, Geoff Bodine, her husband, Scott Erickson and many other music, entertainment and sports celebrities!

Lisa and her husband, Scott Erickson will head to Ohio June 17th-21st to participate in the LOPen Golf Tournament for the Akron Children’s Hospital. Scott will play with fellow celebrity VIP’s, Bret Saberhagen, Jim McMahon, Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed. A concert by Sheryl Crow rounds out the weekend’s event. The Davis Love III designed golf course and resort, Diamante Cabo San Lucas has commissioned Lisa to produce several of her original mosaics for this new world class vacation destination. Lisa will be traveling back and forth to design, hand cut, build and grout these pieces of art.

Lisa returns from a month long trip to Chile, Argentina, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and Brazil. Part for business but mostly for pleasure, this adventure was an amazing experience for her to be inspired by these incredible places and to meet such warm and wonderful people. This trip was especially important to Lisa because her mother Lucy (who died when Lisa was eight years old) was from Santiago, Chile where Lisa began her trip with a three day visit. Now it’s back to reality and back to work but with a much greater appreciation for the global community!

Lisa’s award winning family film debuts on Showtime and TMC this December. Starring Henry Winkler, William Baldwin, Jeff Daniels and Lisa, the movie won the International Family Film Festival’s Best Film Award as well as the Heartland Film Festival’s Family Event of the Year, The Austin Film Festival’s Audience Award for Best Family Film and has both the Dove Foundation and Parent’s Television Council Seals of Approval. It also earned a rave review in Daily Variety! A Plumm Summer had a small theatrical release in 2008 (12 markets) and caught the eye of Paramount Family  who released the DVD earlier this year. Lisa will attend the opening night reception of “Wide Open”, a national juried exhibition that has accepted Lisa’s mosaic, “Malibu Mermaid” into competition on Thursday, July 30th. The gallery is at Sebastopol Center for the Arts in Sonoma County, California. This is Lisa’s first submission since becoming a mosaicist this year. Besides “Malibu Mermaid”, a 36″x24″ mixed media piece, she has created kitchen backsplashes, fireplace surrounds and even a pizza oven using glass, smalti and ceramic mosaic technique.
